The cushion
In the Blessed Injeel (Mark 4:35-41) we read about a night time boat journey by Hazrat Isa ( ع ).
Hazrat Isa ( ع ) said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.”
So they took him in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed).
But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.
Hazrat Isa ( ع ) was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”
When Hazrat Isa ( ع ) woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!”
Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”
Hazrat Isa ( ع ) brings peace
Both the Holy Qur’an and the Blessed Injeel say Hazrat Isa ( ع ) brings peace.

وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدْتُ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
“Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I will die, and the day I will be resurrected alive.”
Holy Qur’an | Mariam 19.33
Here he command peace upon oneself. No-one can do that without the authority to give peace. Hazrat Isa has that authority, as the Blessed Injeel says …
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.”
Blessed Injeel | John 14.27
Both the Blessed Injeel and the Holy Qur’an agree that Hazrat Isa ( ع ) had authority over peace. He can bring calm and peace into even stressful situations.
Would you like to ask him to bring peace into your life? Do you think he would do that for you?
